Ghtm. Martin Neudörfl

Mgr. Martin Neudörfl, Ghtm. (born in 1991) is the 17th and the current captain of the Ducal Grenadier Life Guard in Český Krumlov, known as the Guard of the Prince of Schwarzenberg.

Martin Neudörfl was born in Český Krumlov, where he graduated from the Český Krumlov Gymnasium (local high school) in 2010. Having studied as well in the United Kingdom, France and Japan, he is currently a PhD student at Charles University in Prag, the Czech Republic. His field of specialization are linguistics (Romance and Norman languages) and history (history of the city of Český Krumlov and the Bohemian Forest region).

Elected as the youngest commanding captain in the history of the Ducal Grenadier Life Guard in Český Krumlov in 2015, he is in command of the grenadiers of His Highness Prince Charles John of Schwarzenberg and in charge of the Grenadier Guad Restoration Program and most of the related projects. Since 2016 he has served as the chief researcher of the Guard Archives as well.
